Pentaquest 2012 begins tomorrow with Mt. St. Helens

The first climb of the Pentaquest 2012 season is happening tomorrow (6/16) on Mt. St. Helens. A team of eight from the Portland and Seattle areas is meeting in Cougar, WA at 8am and heading up the winter route from Marble Mountain Snow Park.

Check out the east line on the topo map for the route. Since snow is still covering the summer route from Climbers Bivouac, we have to climb an additional thousand feet or so in elevation from the trailhead.
